THE AMERICAN DREAM - Short Story Contest

Offer valid until March 1st 2009. Deadlines for submission are the 15th of each calendar month. Judgment to take place by review of content at EaglenetUSA.com hosting facility. Judges represented by vote including business owners of the State of Oklahoma and the region of Pontotoc and Oklahoma County, consisting of 5 members appointed or selected by the EaglentUSA chairman. Limit one winner per calendar month, to be announced on the 28th of the month and prize awarded by cashiers check or money order in the name of the original author of the written or typed work.

Submission of content or story, text, characters, ideas, plot, and all related film, media, screenplay, or literary rights are surrendered to EaglenetUSA.com and the business group sponsoring the contest, under guidance and ownership of Bill Freeman, in perpetuity. All contestants agree by submission of any work of creative or intellectual property to this contest the surrender of any and all rights to that work, or related works, and transfer prior surrender to the sole property of EaglenetUSA and Bill Freeman, Chairman of the Board of EaglenetUSA. All works used or published, or otherwise re-released will include citation of writing credit to the original author, which may be used or retained or otherwise cited and reported as true and accurate despite transfer of these rights in perpetuity. Further, EaglenetUSA will not seek to represent the exect work or copy thereof or partial adaptation of such work in limited degree as content produced or written solely by EaglenetUSA, although they may and do retain all rights to the use or reprinting or redistribution, sale, or license of the work in the future and any such use after the day of submission.

By participating in this contest, the contestant does hereby certify under penalty of perjury and contractual law that they are the sole owner of the intellectual property rights and copyright of the work hereafter submitted and in sole possession of the legal ability to transfer such rights to EaglenetUSA. Failure to meet this criteria or violate the terms of this contest may result in disqualification, challenge in commercial fraud, or any civil damages or injury caused by violation of these terms to EaglenetUSA or its principle sponsors, advertisers, investors, clients, or employees.

All sumissions meeting these criteria may be submitted to contest -at- eaglenetusa.com with the subject "The American Dream" using any mail program capable of sending to SMTP (regular Internet Mail) domains and addresses. Alternatively, written hardcopy submissions may be mailed to 529 East Main, Ada OK 74820 for submission on date of arrival.

Submissions are limited to 200 words, calculated using the Redhat Fedora 9.0 "wc" (word count) tool. Submissions not meeting these guidelines may be disqualified from the contest judgment but will not be void prior terms of copyright and intellectual property transfer required in the context of their submission.

This contest may end at any time. All submissions in electronic and physical form become the sole property of EaglenetUSA and will not be returned or copies made for purpose of return even on request. Do not mail your only copy to us if you wish to retain a copy for your records. No returns will be provided - neither in person or by mail or electronic or digital means. It is your responsibility to keep a copy of your original work if you so choose. Should the contest be called off or cancelled, the last period during which submissions were accepted will award the prize under normal terms of contest judgment, the winner be paid, and no further submissions accepted after that time. Notice of such termination of contest will be made on this website. Submissions sent in which arrive after after that date of closure or from close of submissions to last prize award will be kept or destroyed at the sole discretion of EaglenetUSA.

Payment in denominations other than U.S. Dollars are prohibited, but may be facilitated by PayPal or other service at the sole discretion of EaglenetUSA provided payee terms and account with the PayPal service. This contest is limited to U.S. Citizens, Permanent Resident Aliens, and people within the United States under compliance with immigration law pursuant to application for Citizenship or Political Refugee status. Payment limited to the Continential United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, due to legal limitations on contests and rules outside the United States National territories and jurisdiction.

One winner will be chosen who meets these terms each month. Should a winner be disqualified due violation of these terms or discovery, or other lawful cause precluding receipt of funds, another winner will be chosen from the submissions. The rules and laws governing this offer are pursuant to the State of Oklahoma (USA) and the United States of America (USA). Offer limited to those territories and jurisdiction. No membership (free registration or paying membership) is required to participate and no preference or distinguishing nature granted members and users of the service over other contestants in judging or submission. No purchase is neccessary to participate, this contest and offer void where prohibited by law.
